Prenatal Exercise

During the weekend, I breeze into the hospital for my antenatal exercise with my appointed physiotherapists because I’m having trouble with my pelvis being out of place on my right side.

The 2 hour session went very well, and I appreciate the scientific explanation of the importance of antenatal care for a healthy and comfortable pregnancy. The course covered exercise like circulatory exercise, knee bending, abdominal, bridging, shoulder rolling, breathing and back exercise. We get to try the techniques and the physiotherapist will check on us one by one. It makes you feels so much better after doing it, your back, your belly, legs and everything tones.

I’m now using my birth ball to sit on at all times. I started using it a month ago. I replaced my computer chair, my couch, my kitchen chair with the ball and I noticed the immediately difference. I would recommend if you can find a prenatal yoga/exercise class. You will learn all sorts of tips making yourself comfortable, especially in the last trimester, and learn breathing techniques for delivery.
