News about IMC’s Affiliate Program

Received an email from Derek Gehl again on how they are going to get back to business in order to continue the great work started by Corey.

Here”s the email I received from Derek Gehl:

Hi Bibi,

I hope this e-mail answers your questions about how the Internet Marketing Center”s Affiliate Program will be moving forward in light of Corey”s passing…

As I expected, since last week”s announcement about Corey, I”ve received a number of messages from our Internet Marketing Center affiliates, wondering what”s going to happen with the program. It”s only natural for you to have such questions about the future of IMC. After all, it was Corey”s personal relationship with affiliates like you that made him unique in this industry, and the loss of this kind of relationship can create uncertainty.

However, as a close friend of Corey”s — and his right-hand man for the past eight years — I”d like to assure you that since his sudden passing, I have been honored to take on the role of continuing his legacy, helping to keep growing the Internet Marketing Center.

So over the past few weeks, while we”ve spent a lot of time looking backward over the years to honor Corey”s memory, we”ve also been looking to the future, planning how we”re going to take Corey”s hopes and dreams for this company and make them reality.

I know that”s what he would have wanted.

And that”s why over the next few months, we”ll be rolling out an exciting lineup of new and updated information products and software, as well as maintaining our traditional “core” products and programs — including our top-rated affiliate program.

With over 90,000 members, our affiliate program is truly unique. It was groundbreaking when Corey first started it back in the mid-90s (even before sites like Amazon.com had them), and it continues today to be one of the most popular — and profitable — affiliate programs available on the Internet.

We plan to continue that tradition…

We are dedicated to offering the same great special promotions each month that we always have — plus providing you with the same cutting-edge promotional tools, advice, and support that you”ve come to rely on as an IMC affiliate.

So as we slowly return to “business as usual,” we”re busy putting together the next special affiliate promotion for you. We”ll be announcing all the details of that in your next regular affiliate newsletter, so watch for that coming up next week.

Meanwhile, if you have any questions or concerns about the future of our affiliate program, please don”t hesitate to write to our affiliate support team at affiliates@marketingtips.com, or give us a call at 604-730-2833. We”ll be happy to answer all of your questions.

Best wishes for your continued success,
Derek Gehl,
CEO The Internet Marketing Center

Internet Marketing Center will continue…

Dear Bibi,

If you got Tracy’s letter earlier today, you know that Corey Rudl unexpectedly passed away in a tragic car-racing accident on Thursday, June 2, 2005.

Some of you may already know me… But for those of you who don’t, I’ll tell you that Corey was not only my colleague and mentor, he was also one of my best friends.

So first, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for the outpouring of support we’ve received since getting this terrible news.

Our office has received literally hundreds of e-mails and phone calls… Stacks of condolence cards and flowers have started to arrive daily… And we’ve seen hundreds of tribute web pages with stories about how Corey changed people’s lives.

It’s been touching — astonishing really — to see how many lives Corey positively impacted in his short 34 years…

I know he certainly changed my life forever.

And that’s why, out of loyalty and respect, I am honored to be taking on the role of continuing Corey’s legacy and continuing to grow his company, The Internet Marketing Center.

I’ve spent many late nights over the last ten days having heart-to-heart discussions with Tracy (Corey’s wife) and his Dad, John Rudl. And everyone agrees — Corey would want us to continue on.

I will miss Corey every day… However, as I said to our team at IMC a few days ago, Corey has spent the last couple of years working to build a company that could sustain itself — and his work was finally complete. Over the last couple of years, he’d left more and more of the development of cutting-edge marketing tools and strategies to our team.

So while it pains me to know that Corey will not be here to see this company grow, I know he would want us to make it happen… and I suspect that he’ll be watching to make sure we get it right :-)

With that said, I want to reassure all of our customers and subscribers that The Internet Marketing Center will continue to move forward. Any product or service you have purchased from us — or plan to purchase from us — will be honored.

And we will continue to release new, industry-leading Internet marketing strategies and tools (including the last few products and software that Corey completed before he passed away)…

Corey lived his life with passion.

So I would like to end this e-mail with a challenge to you…

I know from working side by side with Corey for the last eight years, his biggest “pet peeve” was that so many people would buy his products, but then never use them to their full capability… they would never take action and apply them.

Corey was a man who truly wanted people to succeed and he was a man who would never settle for mediocrity… so seeing people with dreams who would not take action to achieve those dreams would drive him crazy.

So with that said, in honor of Corey, I challenge you to start something today. Write down your business goals. Test something new on your site. Try something different, something unique, and then share your results with us.

I know in my heart this would make Corey smile, wherever he may be.

Best regards,
Derek Gehl
Chief Executive Officer, and Corey’s Biggest Fan.

P.S. If you have any questions about this e-mail, please don’t hesitate to e-mail info@marketingtips.com or call us at 1-888-462-7006. Our office will be closed on Wednesday this week, but you’re welcome to leave a message and we’ll call you back first thing on Thursday. Also, you’re invited to check out the memorial web page we’ve put up for Corey at: http://www.marketingtips.com

We’ll miss you Corey.

A letter from Tracey Rudl

It’s pleased to learn that IMC will continue despite the tragic loss of Cory Rudl. This is the email I received from Tracy Rudl:

Dear Bibi,

It is with great sadness I must inform you that my husband, Corey Rudl, passed away in a tragic car-racing accident on Thursday, June 2, 2005.

I know that because of all the media attention Corey’s passing has received, many of you have already heard this terrible news. But I know this will still come as a great shock to many people — and for that I am deeply sorry. There are no words for moments as unexpectedly tragic or heartbreakingly sad as this…

On behalf of Corey’s entire family, as well as Corey’s team at The Internet Marketing Center, I’d like to extend my warmest thanks to those of you who have already sent e-mails and letters or left phone messages expressing your support and condolence.

We’ve all drawn strength from your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, and we’ll always remember your kindness.

Corey’s passion was helping people.

He loved knowing that he was helping “real people” start and grow Internet businesses. And he was extremely proud of the thousands of success stories he’d helped to create over the years. Nothing made Corey happier than getting letters from clients who had finally “quit their day jobs” to run their Internet businesses full time…

And that’s why, on behalf of my entire family, I would like to personally take this opportunity to assure all Corey’s customers and subscribers that his legacy will continue.

Going forward, the company will be headed up by Derek Gehl, an Internet entrepreneur and marketing expert in his own right who worked side by side with Corey for more than eight years to develop the marketing strategies and software you’ve seen released by The Internet Marketing Center…

Corey had the highest regard for Derek and considered him to be his “right-hand man”… and for the last couple of years, as Corey began to spend more time on the road, away from the office, he’d left Derek to manage his team. So the family backs Derek during this transition 100% — we all have the highest confidence in Derek’s ability to continue Corey’s legacy.

I know this is what Corey wanted.

Derek will provide more information to you about how the company will move forward. (He will be sending an e-mail later this afternoon.) But I just wanted to personally let you know what’s happened.

Corey was an adoring husband… a loving son… a doting brother… a caring friend… and an inspirational leader and mentor.

It’s so hard to say good-bye…

Tracy Rudl

On behalf of The Internet Marketing Center

Corey Rudl die!

When I woke up this morning and open up my inbox, I received a bad news from my friend, Mal Keenan: Corey Rudl has died Bibi.

Corey died in a car crashed yesterday morning. The news has shakened me. Corey, who just married a few weeks ago, was the CEO of Internet Marketing Center, clearly recognized as the top Internet Marketing Guru. It will be a big loss to all online marketers.

I don’t know him personaly but from his emails and valuable training materials. Life is so fragile and can be snatched away so suddently. Sympathies to his wife and family.
